The day started out normally. I got rejected by Gumball yet again and I had planned to wallow in my sadness with no interruptions whatsoever. But, my loving sister Cake decided to "help" me by finding a new boy for me. She traveled all the way to the Fire Kingdom and tried to woo the prince there, which worked, but once she found out he was evil and crazy, she broke his heart and ran away. Of course he chased her down all the back to our tree house and he caught it on fire! Can you believe that?!

I was gonna kill whoever started it, but once he had lit Gumball's liquid fireworks with the flames, they exploded over his head and doused him to a weakened state. He was about to fall off the roof, and I couldn't just let him fall, so I caught him, and fell back inside the house. I must say, he was pretty, well, cute. I was about to ask Cake who he was when he suddenly awoke and jumped out of my arms. He looked at me angrily, and not to sound punny, but he had flames in his eyes.

"What's wrong with me, huh?!" he demanded, "You don't like me?"

Confused, I managed to answer him with a truthful answer. "N-No! I like you!" I said.

I saw him blush for a second before he became angry again and slapped, yes, slapped me lightly on the face. "Don't ever mess with me again, you hear?!" he warned before retreating as a flame out the window. The room was silent before I looked at Cake and asked her who that was.

"The prince of the Fire Kingdom." she said, obviously as shocked as I was.

"Dude.." I said as I looked out the window and then back at her. "I think I have a crush."




And now today, after hearing the full story from Cake, I have to walk all the way to the Fire Kingdom and try to apologize to the Flame Prince(of course wearing some fake crown made out of cardboard that Cake painted gold). After walking for awhile, I finally made it to the kingdom. Cake had told Flamba to meet me there so she could cast a fire shield spell on me so I didn't get scorched. I made my way to the castle in the kingdom and opened the big doors, walking into the throne room. There was a lot going on: minstrels playing, flames ablaze in the back. And bleachers of fire people all staring at me. I felt like I was the main character of a play and I had forgotten my lines. I swallowed my fear and approached the throne where the Fire Queen sat. She didn't notice me at first, but once I spoke up in a squeaky voice, she looked down at me, and I couldn't tell if she was angry or just didn't care.

"What are you doing here?" she demanded of me. I felt my voice start to fade away, but I quickly brought it back.

"I-I'm here to see the prince, your majesty. I wanted to- oh, wait." I got down on one knee so I didn't seem rude before I continued. "I wanted to apologize for what happened yesterday. So, may I speak privately with your son?" I looked up at the Queen, who seemed to be looking over me, probably wondering whether I could be trusted. She finally spoke after a few minutes.

"Alright then. I trust you." she said and I slightly smiled. She stood up from her throne and looked up at the lantern above her throne, where the prince was. "My son!" she called to him. He sat up and looked down at her, and once he noticed me, I could see the contempt in his eyes, even when he was all the way up there.

"What is she doing here?" he hissed.

"The princess of the Grasslands would like to apologize to you." the queen said.

"I don't want to see her!" the prince said.

The queen made an angry face that kind of scared me when she looked at me. "Excuse me for a second." she said. I nodded and her flaming body separated from her armor-like robes as she floated up towards the lantern cage. She seemed to be talking with the prince and after a little bit, she floated next to a lever and pulled it. The lantern slowly descended to the floor. The glass door opened and the prince stepped out. He quickly walked towards me and said with anger in his voice, "Follow me." Then he swiftly walked past me towards the doors of the castle. I quickly followed after him.

We stepped outside and once the doors were closed, he looked at me.

"So? What do you want?" he asked, "My mother said you came to apologize."

I nodded and cleared my throat. "Um, yes. I-I'm very sorry about what happened yesterday and I wanted to straighten things out." I said.

"What is there to 'straighten out?' You came here, told me you liked me, then turned it around and changed your mind, and then you said you liked me again. It is fine if you apologize, but I will always know what you did." he said angrily.

"B-But, that's what I want to tell you. That wasn't me who came to your castle." I said with a squeaky voice.

He seemed to calm down tremendously after I said that, in fact, he seemed more confused than angry. "Wait... what?" he said.

"Well, you see, Cake, the "Duchess of the Grasslands," went there herself, I had never gone with her because I was, um, busy with other things. And apparently she decided it'd be a good idea to say I was there and use her powers-"

"Wait, powers? She has powers?" he asked.

"Uh, yes. These stretchy powers. She can stretch her body to any form, like how she did with pretending to be me." I explained.

"...That's a little disturbing, but continue." he said.

I nodded and told him the rest of the story, and at the end he was neither angry nor upset about anything. He just seemed sort of neutral.

"I see, but, I have one more question." he said as he leaned close to me and before I knew it, our faces were inches apart. "Do you like me? Like, actually, really like me?"

I felt myself blush and I wished he wasn't so close since he could probably plainly see it. But I nodded slightly before saying shyly, "Um, y-yes. Yes, I do like you."

I saw him cheeks become a bit red as well, but he seemed to smile at least, which made me smile.

"Good." he said. "Because I like you too."
