After the Prince and I made up, I decided to tell him that I wasn't actually a princess. He didn't seem mad or anything, he just laughed and said "I figured as much. You don't seem to be the 'princess type.'" But, when we went to tell his mom, the Fire Queen, she didn't take it as well as he. In fact, he even called me and said that we probably shouldn't see each other for at least two days so she could calm down, and from the looks of the smoke billowing in the distance from my window, I understood completely.

So, I decided I'd hang out with my other two guy buds Marshall and Gumball. The first day I hung out with Gumball at the Candy Kingdom, where we were pretty much just having a tea party.

"So Fionna, what have you been up to since the last time we met?" the candy prince asked.

"Oh, nothing much." I said, "But I did make a new friend."

"Oh? And who would that be?" Gumball asked, sipping his tea.

"The prince of the Fire Kingdom." Right when I said that I sort of regretted it since I got the weirdest reaction I've ever seen of the prince; an accidental spit-take of hot tea.

The prince wiped his mouth with a napkin while Peppermint Maid cleaned up the mess on the floor. "Sorry about that, but did you say the Fire Kingdom?" he asked.

"Uh, yeah." I said, wondering why he had such a reaction. "I-Is that a problem?"

"Oh no, no, of course not! Wh-Why would you even ask such a silly question." the prince said, doing one of those nervous fake laughs. Cake looked at me with a small smirk; one I recognized immediately.

"What's that look?" I whispered to her.

"I think he's jealous~" Cake teased, loud enough for Gumball to here, and I could've sworn I saw his pink cheeks get even pinker.

"U-Uh, Cake, I think you've misunderstood. I was just a little, um, shocked since I thought I heard a little rumor that he was, well, evil. And I didn't think Fionna hung out with anyone like that besides Marshall Lee." Gumball said.

"Well, he's not really 'evil' per say. He just has a bit of a temper is all." I explained. I never really thought of the Flame Prince as "evil" like apparently lot's of people thought. He seemed pretty chill when I hung around him.

"Huh, well, I guess it was just a rumor." the candy prince said. After that last remark, the subject was tucked away for the rest of the day. The next day though, it was brought up again when I hung out with Marshall. I was doing a jam session with him at his house, and since Cake had to be somewhere with Mocro, she didn't come with me, just dropped me off.

I knocked on the door to Marshall Lee's house and he quickly answered with that same grin on his face I always see.

"Sup blue~ Haven't seen you in awhile." he said.

"Hey Marshall. I brought my tape recorder like you asked me to." I said.

"Awesome. Well, let's get this going!" Marshall said as he picked up his ax shaped bass. "So what have you been up to lately?"

"Well, I made a new friend." I said.

"Oh really? Who is it?" Marshall asked.

When I told him about the Flame Prince I got the same reaction as I did from Gumball, only it was more of a metamorphosis from a shocked frown to a disappointed pout.

"What? Don't give me that look." I said.

"But I don't get it." Marshall complained.

"Don't get what?"

"I don't get how you're hanging out with someone who's evil when you fight people who are evil."

I sighed. If even Marshall thought the prince was evil too, then he must've had quite the reputation. "Look, he's not really that bad. He just has a bit of a bad temper is all." I said.

"Hmph." Marshall just pouted.

"... You know, I got the same reaction from Gumball as I am you. Only his was much shorter after his spit-take." I said, giggling. Marshall laughed too.

"Oh really? Gumbutt did that? Oh, I'm so gonna hold that over his head~" Marshall grinned.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Don't do that." I said, giggling.
